My Funny Valentine!

Belated Happy Valentine's Day!  Just a quick post to show you my son with the card I made him, which he just loved!  And yes it's green because that's his favorite color  :)   It was a quickie, mainly because he's only 5 and I know it will end up on the floor, in the toy box or under the bed!!  When he's older I'll definitely put more effort into his card but for now that's what he's getting!  LOL!  The image is from Drawn with Character and the sentiment is a stamp from Verve.

I'll be back with my post for this weeks challenge at 613 Avenue Create!
Thanks for stopping by!

Kathi

Be Mine

Last one I promise!!  LOL!  Yes this is my 5th project for our challenge at 613 Avenue Create. This Melonheadz Illustrations image is a freebie called...well...Owl!   It is a pre-colored image which I fussy cut, popped up with foam dots and put some Stickles on his heart.  Sentiments are from the Notched Tag set by MFT stamps.  The dies, ink and Berrylicious paper are also from MFT.  Our optional twist this week is to add some doodling which I added at the bottom of the mini milk carton.  I tried to make a heart beat but I'm sure it's not accurate! LOL!

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Kathi

It's a date!

Hope everyone is warm and toasty!  It's time for our 613 Avenue Create Challenge and the Create Your Own Challenge this week.  Today I have my husbands Valentine's Day gift.  My poor husband works two full time jobs so time alone together is very hard to come by!  So I've created a Date Night book.  There are 12 pre-paid dates with gift cards to restaurants, movies and even a gas card so during one of the summer months we can just jump in the car and go!  Destination unknown  :) The image I've used is from Time for Tea called Paige I love you.

Sweet Treats

Happy Valentine's Day!!  I'm here with some sweet treats I mailed to my daughter in college.  We've been making these for years.  Just place a Hershey's kiss on a pretzel square and put in an oven about 225 degrees for a couple of minutes the take them out and quickly push an M&M in the center.  They are just the right mix of sweet and salty.  I found this corsage box for .50 at Hobby Lobby.  It was perfect for what I needed.

Here is the completed package.  I put some tissue inside the box so the treats wouldn't be thrown all around. The Sweet Treats and Banner stamp are both by Verve.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Kathi

Ladybug for my Lovebug

Hi!
Here's a card I made for my daughter...my lovebug  :)   This is a free digi from Little Scraps of Heaven Designs
called Little Lady Bug.  Tricia always has a free weekly cutting file as well!  Her images are sooo cute!  Check them out!

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

I originally colored her with Prismacolor pencils & Gamsol but I ended up going over the black with a black Copic.  I always do the skin with Copics.  I used blue chalk for the background/shadow but it just does not show at all in this pic.  I used black diamond Stickles on her dots.  I used some old corner rounder scissors, Oval Doily by Cottage Cutz, Fishtail Flags by MFT.

(inside)

I haven't decorated the outside of an envelope in years!  I stippled the clouds with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue and hand drew the lady bug trail.  I mailed it almost a week ago and she hasn't received it yet!  I did seal the back with washi tape so I really hope one of the machines didn't eat it!!

Hope everyone is having a good week!  I'll be back with more this week  :)
Hugs,
Kathi

There's No One Like You

Hi All!
Geesh being sick and busy is not a good combo!  Usually by this time of the year I have tons of Valentine's completed!  Oh well...guess I'll just have to eat the candy I don't have time to package and decorate!  Mmmm...nom nom...LOL...that's the sound of a true chocoholic!  :)

Well I did get this one completed and mailed to my daughter in college.  She just loves those Andes candies.  When we would go out to eat at The Olive Garden they would bring everyone at the table a candy with the bill...well she usually ate them all!  And want to ask for more!  LOL!  Hmm wonder where she gets that from??  :)

http://kathiscreativetherapy.blogspot.com/

The paper is old from my stash, black CANDI dots, sentiment by MFT, ladybug stamp is from a square peg set and don't remember who made it (sorry) colored with Copic RV29 and Stickles.

More Valentine's to come!  Thanks for stopping by!  Kathi

Valentine candy package

Surprise!  Two posts in 1 week how unusual for me!  LOL!  Well here's another Valentine but it could be adapted for St. Patty's Day, Easter or Birthday.  It held one of the heart shaped Reese's PB cups.  Can you say YUMMY??   Yeah I snuck a couple...I'll admit it  :)   Hey a woman works up an appetite crafting!  Anyhoo...I used the Grand Nestabilities Labels 11 for the holder, the die that measures 5  3/4" across.  Paper was Coredinations canvas texture in "Merry" color, edges inked with Memento black ink.  2 1/2"  scalloped circle with Crystal Stickles dotted on the scallops, and stamps by Verve.  It was kept closed with a mini clothespin with a heart gem.  The recipients really liked them  :)

Hope you like this and can use the idea.  Would love to see what you can do with it...let me see your twist on the idea!  Thanks for stopping by!  Kathi
