Boys Rock

Today I have a scrapbook page I made for my son.  I haven't made a scrapbook page in a few years!  The poor kid will be 6 and he now has 3 pages  LOL.  My daughter on the other hand has about 8 albums! This is my DT project for Kitty Bee Designs.  The theme this week is to Make Some Music so that means either listening to or making music. I used this cute I (heart) Sushi Panda image.  The original digi has an image of sushi under the I heart.  I asked Ruth , the owner of KBD, if I could crop the sushi and add a band name. Here is the original:

Here is what I did with him:

So in case you don't know FOB stands for Fall Out Boy who is my son's current obsession!  His big sister Shianne loves them so I'm sure that helps.

I used an SVG file from Miss Kate's Cuttables called Boys Rock.  The files are great and so cheap!  This was only $1.29 and she has daily freebies!  The star borders were a freebie at one time.  Love her stuff.

Smile Big!

Happy 4th of July to all of my friends in the US!  I hope everyone had a safe and fun filled day.  I found a 4th of July scrapbook page that I never posted and it goes perfectly with our optional twist this week at 613 Avenue Create.  The twist is to use our newest Create Your Own Challenge chart.

I'm using the American flag as a COLOR challenge.

I love how my son was laughing!

Hope you can join us this week for our Anything Goes challenge at 613 Avenue Create.
Hugs,
Kathi

A Million Thanks Shadowbox

Hi Everyone!  Busy, busy, busy!  I'm here today with my Guest Designer entry for the Outlawz Monday Greeting Card Challenge.  I must admit this was a labor of love let me tell you!  And I think it's different from my usual designs, I always admire others work like this but I finally made one myself..  And it's for someone very special too  :)

this view shows the dimension
close up of poem found at The Poetry Pad
Digi is from Teddy Bo and Co. called Teddy Bea #196

I've been playing with the handful of Copics that I have and I colored the bears solely with those.  I used chalks and Prismacolor pencils on the rest of the image.

So here is the completed shadowbox. The paper is 8x8 and I purchased an 8x8 shadowbox for it but, did it fit?  Nooo...of course not!  So I had to cut and hot glue cardboard, etc, etc.  And boy is it hard to take a good pic of it!

DETAILS:
papers - My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper stacks
dies - MFT (bow/fishtail flag/mini scalloped edging border), Spellbinders circle and Memory Box (La Rue Heart and Honeysuckle Vine)

Well thanks for taking time out of your busy day to stop and take a peek!

My Little Monster scrapbook page

I finally made a scrapbook page for my son...I know he's almost 2 1/2!  I've definitely been slacking in the scrapbooking department.  Not that I don't have 1000's of pictures I could scrap.  What can I say so many ideas so little time!  Long story short this is the look he gave me after he banged a block on a glass coffee table and I told him "No!"  My Little Monster  :)

I used a digi stamp from Meljen's Designs.  Colored with chalks and Copic BG93 for the letters and BG72 on the stars.  I stippled Tea Dye Distress Ink over the finished digi and the journaling block.  The lime green border is an SVG set of 4 rosette strips by Birds Cards.  Her site is awesome and she has tons of SVG's and digi stamps and all for free!!  And the paper is from My Mind's Eye "Star Bright".

Happy Crafting!
