Mummy Owl

Today I have my DT Spotlight project for Kitty Bee Designs.  I'm using the Halloween Owl Mummy to make a shaker card.  I just love the Kitty Bee Designs Halloween images!  They're just too cute!

I used an MFT die from their Blueprints line.  I used various dies from MFT for the confetti inside the shaker.  The ghosts are an Impression Obsession die and the bats are a QuicKutz die  The sentiment is a Studio G $1 stamp.  and the mini Happy Halloween is from a Papertrey Ink set.  And the owl was colored with Copics.

Look for a new Aloha Friday Challenge tomorrow!  I'll be back tomorrow with my DT project for the challenge  :)  Come see what the DT has in store for you!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kathi

My Sista!

Hi all!

I have several posts for our challenge his week at 613 Avenue Create.  We're Anything Goes with the optional twist to use some doodling on your creation.

February 6th is National Doodle Day

This week we have one of my favorite sponsors
visit the Melonheadz Illustrations store

I used the Best Friends freebie which is a pre-colored image.  As soon as I saw this image I thought of my friend Chana who had the crazy idea to start 613 Avenue Create and asked me to join her on a new adventure.  I'm so glad I did!  Chana has been like a sister to me, we are two peas in a pod  :)

I found the perfect sentiment online and I did a little doodling on the tag and image base.

Come see what the our talented DT ladies have created for this challenge at 613 Avenue Create.  Also check out Melonheadz blog because Nikki offers freebies regularly, she is very generous!  Thanks for stopping by and look for more posts from me using her designs!

Hugs,
Kathi

Thinking of you...

Hi to all my blogland friends  :)

This weeks challenge at 613 Avenue Create is a popular one, it's our unique Create Your Own Challenge.  Here is our current chart:

I used an image from our new sponsor
visit the shop HERE

The image is called  Mouse toting big daisies flowers/ladybugs
and it is a pre-colored image.  She also offers B & W images.
from the chart I used:
#1 image/patterned paper  #2 sentiment  #3 solid color paper  #4 stitching  #5 hemp

I made the background paper from scraps.  I glued 1" strips to a piece of CS then cut that piece into 1" strips.  I glued those in alternating directions on the card front.

Stop by 613 Avenue Create to see the adorable creations from the DT ladies!  And to purchase this image please visit Toadstool Printables!

for letting me know that the stamped imaged is from Art Impressions called Five Whoots.  I had received the image in a swap and couldn't remember who made it.
I LOVE these colors!!

Black and my "favorite" color

I'm back again!  I made two projects this week for our challenge at 613 Avenue Create.  The challenge is Anything Goes with an optional twist to use BLACK and your favorite color.  I had someone ask me what my favorite color was and I had to think about it for a minute.  My reply was "Well, I'm an artist so I don't have a favorite, they're all my favorite!"  But I guess if I were forced to choose just one it would have to be teal  :)   So here is my teal and black Santa!  Image by Bugaboo Stamps.

*ok first here's my little story.  It's been a long month at work, very stressed, busy with holidays, etc.  So I took a vacation day and locked myself in my craft room, music blasting just getting lost in the process.  Well...apparently I was so "lost" this is what I did...see the problem??  LOL!  My response, "Seriously!??  Oh !&*@$#%" and to top it off I used hot glue which I rarely use but I had the glue gun out.  Ugh...

Ok here's the finished project

I have to admit I just love how the stickpin came out on this!

Beautiful daughter ornament

Hi Everyone!  Whew before you know it the holidays will be over!  I really haven't made anything this year!  Just my DT projects and a few birthday cards.  Speaking of DT's this is my last project for the Through The Craftroom Door Design Team.  They really are a wonderful group of artists and I would like to thank Colleen Holmes for the opportunity to design with them over the last 6 months.  So here it is...drum roll please...LOL!

It's been many many years since I've made an ornament for my daughter Shianne.  This little girl from Sassy Cheryl's always reminds me of her.  I hadn't planned on making an ornament it just happened.  I'm sure you know what I mean, you start a project with one thing in mind then it ends up being something completely different  LOL!  I really like how the lights shine through the cut outs of the heart die by QuicKutz.   I used Frantage embossing powder on the edge of the heart, it's a nice white & gold color.   And I surprised myself with the shadow from the halo!

Well until next time!
Hugs,
Kathi

Favorite Little Pumpkin

Hi Everyone!
I made this card for my daughter, Shianne, to mail from college to my mother AKA Grammy.  When I was pregnant with Shi we didn't know she was a "she" so my mother always referred to her as "pumpkin".  She'd ask "how's pumpkin today?" etc.  And my baby shower was a Halloween party and I dressed as...yup...a pumpkin!  A big round one!  LOL!  Anyway, this Sally character from Sassy Cheryl's Stamps always reminds me of Shi when she was little.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Spooky Sweets set.

This card is for the Through The Craftroom Door Anything Goes Challenge this week.  We are sponsored by Oozak and you could win a $10 gift certificate to the store.

And "Sally" always has a little ladybug with her...something else about Shianne...she was always my little "lovebug".  I always made her ladybug t-shirts etc.  A nice little trip down Memory Lane!  LOL!!  Thanks for strolling with me!!

Hugs,
Kathi
