Unique...Just Like You - Guest Designer post

Hi Everyone!

I'm so excited!  I was asked to be a Guest Designer at Inkspirational Challenges! Whoop whoop!  I don't get to enter many challenges because I'm so busy with 613 Avenue Create and just life in general!  But when I do get a little time I do like to check out their wonderful challenges!

The theme of the Inkspirational Challenge for the next 2 weeks is
Anything Goes with SILVER.

I created the sentiment in Word.  The intricate die is by Spellbinders and the snowflake die is from My Favorite Things.  I used double stick tape to adhere the beads and glitter to the die.  The seed beads at the bottom of the Maya Road stick pin are attached with some Ranger's Multi Medium.

I hope you stop by the Inkspirational Challenge to see what the very talented Design Team have created for this challenge.  And maybe you'll find some time to join us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Kathi

I colored the image with Copics, colored pencils/Gamsol and chalks.  Papers by Pebbles called Family Ties.  Dies by MFT, Little Yellow Bicycle and QuicKutz.

Boys Rock

Today I have a scrapbook page I made for my son.  I haven't made a scrapbook page in a few years!  The poor kid will be 6 and he now has 3 pages  LOL.  My daughter on the other hand has about 8 albums! This is my DT project for Kitty Bee Designs.  The theme this week is to Make Some Music so that means either listening to or making music. I used this cute I (heart) Sushi Panda image.  The original digi has an image of sushi under the I heart.  I asked Ruth , the owner of KBD, if I could crop the sushi and add a band name. Here is the original:

Here is what I did with him:

So in case you don't know FOB stands for Fall Out Boy who is my son's current obsession!  His big sister Shianne loves them so I'm sure that helps.

I used an SVG file from Miss Kate's Cuttables called Boys Rock.  The files are great and so cheap!  This was only $1.29 and she has daily freebies!  The star borders were a freebie at one time.  Love her stuff.

Back to School

Come join us this week at 613 Avenue Create, we're Anything Goes but this weeks twist is to use our
Create Your Own Challenge chart:

Our sponsor is a favorite this week:

I've opted to make an Anything Goes card this week using a Pure Innocence stamp by My Favorite Things.  My daughter is back to college for what should be her final semester! Yay Shianne!  So this was a card I made for her.
The stick pin has hearts from a Lawn Fawn die and a vintage button with vintage seam binding bow.  I believe the papers were from a few different My Mind's Eye 6x6 pads.  Her outfit was paper pieced.

Hope you can join us at 613 Avenue Create this week! Even if you just stop by to see what the DT have created this week, I really am so lucky to have such talented ladies on my design team!!

Kathi

Good Luck Panda

Hi everyone,

I'm using Lucky Bamboo Panda for my spotlight at Kitty Bee Designs .  This adorable image was colored with Copics and layered on a Memory Box die. The Asian inspired paper is very old and from my stash.  Mini flag die and good luck sentiment are from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Hey baby...what's your sign?

LOL...what a cheezy line huh?  Well, my husband got a kick out of it.  Which is good because it was his birthday card...my little crab!  LOL!  I love this set from Mama Elephant.  It has all of the zodiac signs called Cosmic Stars.  I also used the coordinating set Starry Night which has the sentiments.  I used Versamark ink to stamp the crab background.  The t-shirt and tag dies are by My Favorite Things.  The tag was embossed with a folder from The Paper Studio.  And the little crab was colored with Copics.

Come join us this week at 613 Avenue Create, we're Anything Goes but this weeks twist is Shabby Chic.  We have 3 sponsors this week which means 3 chances to win!  Even if you just stop by to check out our amazing Design Team samples.  Hope to see you there!

Kathi

Summer Fun

Hi all,

I'm running a little late with my Kitty Bee Designs project!  This was one of those projects that I had a great idea to make a Christmas ornament with sand, shells and sea glass but that just didn't happen. Instead I have a card for our Summer Fun theme for the Aloha Friday Challenge.  You can find Kitty Bee images on Etsy HERE.

The sea turtle was printed on watercolor paper where I used the saran wrap technique.  Shading was added with Copics.  The sentiment stamp is by My Favorite Things.

I put him on an action wobble and bent his fins upward so it looks like he's swimming!

I like the way it turned out even though it wasn't my original vision.  Stop by the Aloha Friday Challenge to see what the other DT ladies have created.  Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs,
Kathi

If a cow laughs......

Hi Everyone!

I'm here today to share my first DT Spotlight for Kitty Bee Designs!  I just love the images I think they are just too cute!  I chose an image from the Cows 1 set.  I printed the image 3" tall.  I love this saying, for some reason it just makes me chuckle  :)   It was printed on the computer.

This cutie was colored with Copics then fussy cut and popped up with foam on the sponged cloud background.  I used an Avery Elle stitched edge die on the rectangle and a I believe the grass die is by Impression Obsession.  I also ran the chisel tip of my Copic R37 around the edges of the words.  The red vintage seam binding was bought at a yard sale, I'm always on the look out for that!

So come join the current challenge - #49 Masculine Cards at the Aloha Friday Challenges!  You still have 1 week to join.

Thanks for stopping by!

Haven't heard a Peep :)

Hey I'm actually here with a non DT card!  I know right?  LOL!  I made an Easter card for a friend that I haven't heard from in a while.  Hope you like!

The patterned paper is from a 6x6 MME pad called Remarkable, all other paper, dies and sentiment are from My Favorite Things. Micro hearts are from the Mama Elephant confetti die and the peep was a freebie from Create with TLC.

Happy Easter to those who are celebrating!

Kathi

My Sista!

Hi all!

I have several posts for our challenge his week at 613 Avenue Create.  We're Anything Goes with the optional twist to use some doodling on your creation.

February 6th is National Doodle Day

This week we have one of my favorite sponsors
visit the Melonheadz Illustrations store

I used the Best Friends freebie which is a pre-colored image.  As soon as I saw this image I thought of my friend Chana who had the crazy idea to start 613 Avenue Create and asked me to join her on a new adventure.  I'm so glad I did!  Chana has been like a sister to me, we are two peas in a pod  :)

I found the perfect sentiment online and I did a little doodling on the tag and image base.

Come see what the our talented DT ladies have created for this challenge at 613 Avenue Create.  Also check out Melonheadz blog because Nikki offers freebies regularly, she is very generous!  Thanks for stopping by and look for more posts from me using her designs!

Hugs,
Kathi

Thinking of you...

Hi to all my blogland friends  :)

This weeks challenge at 613 Avenue Create is a popular one, it's our unique Create Your Own Challenge.  Here is our current chart:

I used an image from our new sponsor
visit the shop HERE

The image is called  Mouse toting big daisies flowers/ladybugs
and it is a pre-colored image.  She also offers B & W images.
from the chart I used:
#1 image/patterned paper  #2 sentiment  #3 solid color paper  #4 stitching  #5 hemp

I made the background paper from scraps.  I glued 1" strips to a piece of CS then cut that piece into 1" strips.  I glued those in alternating directions on the card front.

Stop by 613 Avenue Create to see the adorable creations from the DT ladies!  And to purchase this image please visit Toadstool Printables!

Kathi

Christmas Owls

Hi Everyone!

Hope you all had a wonderful holiday, whichever one you celebrate  :)    I am playing catch up...as usual!  I only made 2 whole Christmas cards this year and I'll be posting them separately today.  I feel terrible because I can't remember who made this adorable image!  If anyone knows please let me know!  Thank you to Marilyn of  One Stamping Fool
for letting me know that the stamped imaged is from Art Impressions called Five Whoots.  I had received the image in a swap and couldn't remember who made it.
I LOVE these colors!!

Puppy Love

Happy Holidays Everyone!

The holidays are in full swing!  I know everyone is busy but if you do happen to make a little something with paper why not stop by our Anything Goes Challenge at
613 Avenue Create!  Our optional twist this week is to create some type of  gift packaging.  It does not have to be Christmas themed, there are so many holidays that you might need a little gift package for next year.

We have two sponsors this week:

and

I chose the image Girl Puppy Love from Bugaboo Stamps.  I plan on putting a small hand sanitizer, chapstick and candies in the cup  :)

I colored the image with Copics then went in with a brown Prismacolor pencil and added the texture to the fur.  I think it came out ok, definitely something to practice  ;)

Stop by 613 Avenue Create to see what our wonderfully talented DT Ladies have come up with this week!  Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to stop by!

Hugs,

Hello....

Hi all...long time no post!  I've been so busy with 613 Avenue Create and I've forgotten to post my projects that I created for challenges.  Ugh...don't you just hate when life gets in the way of your creativity??  LOL!  Anyway, here I am with this weeks project for our challenge at 613 Avenue Create which is Anything Goes and since it was World Hello Day on Sunday the optional twist is to create a project with the word Hello in any language.

We have some great sponsors this week:

I chose to work with an image from Oddball Art Stamp Co.  called Big Eyed Girl image No. 21

Well that's it for now!  Come play in our neighborhood at 613 Avenue Create!
Hugs,
Kathi
