Pretty Cow and a sketch

...and raise you some sass!  I just love this wordart from  Create with TLC   and it was a freebie!  When I saw it I immediately thought of my daughter, Shianne.  Sarcasm is that girls middle name!  Don't know where she gets it from!  LOL!  Anyway, when I saw this image at Sassy Cheryl's Stamps I just knew they were meant to be together  :)

Anything Goes at 613 Avenue Create

Hope everyone is having some nice Spring weather!  Finally we are having some sunshine and warm weather here in the Northeast of the US!  So this week at 613 Avenue Create we have our usual Anything Goes challenge but you have the option to create some gift packaging (gift card holders, bags, boxes,etc).  I hope you can join us we have two sponsors Bugaboo and Eureka.  Here is a gift box I came up with using a cropped Eureka image.

I used my Make the Cut software and Cricut along with the SVG from My Scrap Chick to create the box.  I used box #7 without the center divider.

Guest Designer at Tammy's Scrapin' Corner!

Hi Everyone!

Today I am excited because I've been chosen to be the Guest Designer at Tammy's Scrapin' Corner!   The theme this week is Lots of Layers and she has two great sponsors, Bugaboo Stamps and SK Digis.  I chose the Flower Bud image by SK Digis.

I fussy cut the digi after coloring it with my Copics.  I also colored the back quickly in case it showed on the foam dots.  There are two layers of the large flower and I put a button and a pearl in the center of the top flower.  The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink and I used the VersaMagic Aegean Blue ink.  The patterned paper is by Pebbles called Family Ties "Sister".  The solid CS are from my stash.

The scalloped die is by Sizzix and there are two layers, yellow and teal.

I colored the foam dots using my Copics and the same colors as the flower and leaf so you couldn't see the white.  I explain that in this post HERE.  I attached the button and pearl with Glossy Accents.

Lady of the Roses

It's time for another 613 Avenue Create challenge!  As usual it's Anything Goes but this week there is a color twist.

This week I used the image Lady of the Roses and I made a wall hanger.  I cut out some of the roses from the main image which I printed rather large.  Here are pictures before.

I added one of the roses to the lower right corner.  I also made a card with another one of the roses that I cut from the main image.  I will post that one another time.

House Mouse....wheee!

I just love this House Mouse stamp!  I've had it forever and decided to dust it off.   I think it would be good for a male birthday, there's only a little Stickles on the confetti.  Can't have confetti without some sparkle :)

 

I used a mix of Copics and chalks, the papers and brads are ancient from the stash.  Dies are Spellbinders and the MFT fishtail flag and stamp by Unity Stamps.  That's all folks!

Verve's April Diva Dare and a tip

Hi all,

This month's Diva Dare at Verve Stamps is to create a card with a flower or butterfly and bright colors.  Must use at least one Verve product.  So here is my creation!

 
Here I used Verve's Flutterby die which I embossed with the dot folder, then I touched all of the dots with a little Crystal Stickles.  The license plate is a die by MFT as well as the alphabet stamps. I heat embossed the letters with a sparkle embossing powder.   A flower (added Stickles to the edges), Jolee's crystal and paper (We R Memory Keepers) from the stash. Large dot embossing folder by Darice.  License place popped up with a piece of foam.

*TIP:  I really don't like to see the white foam or foam dots from the side of my project.  So what I do is take a Sharpie (black) or a Copic and color the edge of the foam to cover the white.  In the picture above you can't see how the license plate is raised.  Simple yet effective!  Hope you can use the tip!

Garden Girl

Hi all...I'm back with a card for someone special  :)  Can't say who because she might actually read this  LOL!  So I've been cleaning/organizing/purging my craft room. Yeah major project!  Anyway, Earth Day is coming up and I thought I could do my part by "recycling" some things I've never used by doing a giveaway.  Things like papers, stamps, embellishments, etc.  Nothing from current trends but the products are new never used.   So I was wondering if you crafty peeps would be interested.  Let me know what you think  :)

You Are My Sunshine

Today I discovered Sassy Cheryl's Stamps.   OMGoodness can you say cute??  I love them and of course had to get a few  :)  There is also a sketch challenge at her blog and I was actually able to complete a card in one sitting!  Not always possible...you know what it's like to have a 3 year "help" you?  LOL ok then, now you get it.  So here is a card I made for my 18 year old, Shianne.  I always used to sing You Are My Sunshine when she was little and this little girl reminds me of her too!  Not to mention the whole ladybug thing.  

I cut the butterflies from the MME paper.  I stippled the clouds with a handmade stencil.

The papers I used are from MME Miss Carolina 6x6 pad.  Pink dot DT by BoBunny.  Pennant by MFT, Charming Oval by Verve and the heart die by Memory Box.
