Sailor Girl

Hi Everyone!
This is my 1st post as a Through The Craftroom Door (TTCRD)  DT member!  The challenges at TTCRD are weekly and always Anything Goes.   Today I have a card using the Rick St. Dennis image "Gigi" although I call her Sailor Girl  :)  Anyone who knows my work knows that I love to crop the images I work with.  This is no exception!

Nothing like a close up to accentuate your little boo-boo's!  Still learning and getting used to the Copics  :)  I used a Vintage Button stick pin from Maya Road instead of the balloon.  I used a pop dot under the heart but it's hard to see because I colored the edges of the dot red.  Then I used Glossy Accents to attach a vintage anchor button.

I used a new Cuttlebug folder called Cross My Heart then lightly sanded it, also distressed the heart and Hopmeadow Circle die by Memory Box.

I hope you'll stop by to see the rest of the DT's projects.  I really am honored to design with a group of very talented and sweet ladies!  Through The Craftroom Door Anything Goes Challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!
Hugs,
Kathi

WOW, Kathi! What a beautiful and creative use of that image. I forget that we are "allowed" to use those parts of an image that we want and discard the rest. I'm far too literal at times. Love the color combo on this and how you used the stick pin. LOVE that anchor button! Works so well with the Sailor Girl theme.
