Some little gifts

Here are some little candy gifts with the Hershey's Nuggets.

Again old paper from Joann's but the felt flower is new from Michael's.

Here I used the Cuttlebug to emboss the address labels then stippled them
with Color Box embossing inks.  I like the results sorry the pic is a little blurry.

1st Birthday board book

My cousin son Jacob turned 1 Sunday so I made him a book  :)  I bought  the chip board book and the paper last year I think at Michael's.  I had a problem with the paper lining up with the scallops so I ended up cutting some plain cardstock for the book as well.  I spray glued the cardstock to the chip board then used an exacto to cut around the scallops.  Then I sanded all of the edges then used black ink and a sponge to ink the edges.  I had the birthday stickers they were a set from Creative Imaginations by Barb Tourtillotte.  Again i bought it a couple of years ago.  That's what happens when you don't craft for a year and a half!  I so missed it...but now I'm back with a vengeance!  LOL!!  Ok I digress...

Gift card holder using the Wild Card cartridge @ 4 1/2 " I might use 4 1/4 next time though because the card just fit in the little slots that hold it in.  I inked the edges in green and made a teal envy for it (same cart)
This was a super quick bag since I was running out of time before the party!  LOL!  I used the Graphically Speaking cart which I LOVE because it has so much to choose from.
I told my cousin this project was a labor of love! It took me several hours to complete between the paper not lining up and then one of the pages somehow rotated one or two scallops to the right which threw the alignment off and one page is crooked.  I know most people wouldn't notice or care but I know and it bothers me  :)  Anyway, then my Bind it All didn't line up on a couple of pages and was off too.   I know I know stop already  LOL!  But she really liked it and that's all that matters.

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop!

How exciting I love PT stamps!  This is from a set called Holiday Treats which, shame on me, there are some I haven't inked up yet!  Since we've had so much snow in the North East recently I made some snowman soup packets for the people who actually made it to work!  A little surprise makes the day a little better  :)  There are 3 stamps in this set designed specifically for address labels so you can wrap those cute little nugget candies...mmm....I used the snowflake.

I used the dot Cuttlebug folder for the colored cardstock, I don't remember who makes the snowflake paper but I did get it at Joann's last year.  And I inked the edges of the poem with Versa Magic Sea Breeze.

Snowflake is a Sizzix snowflake #22.
Snowflake Cuttlebug folder, snowflake by Stampin' Up, keep warm by My Sentiments Exactly and  a touch of Stickles...oh how I love Stickles  :)

Thanks for visiting my somewhat bare blog...but hey I'm new to this!  :)

Fatou's scrapbook page

Here is the page using the birthday pick from the cake.  I framed it for Gina (her mom) and she was so touched  :)  Gotta love the happy tears!

The pink scallop is from AE I think I cut it at 1" and put two pieces together, the black and the striped are ribbon.  I can't remember what cart has the photo corners because they were left over from a project a long time ago...sorry.  I used the dot Cuttlebug folder then used the stickles on the dots.

We had a little 1st birthday party for Fatou so I made her some Minnie Mouse decorations!  I used the Mickey & Friends and the Mickey Font carts.

Pick for the cake

I used Accent Essentials for the scalloped circle cut at 10.75".  Minnie's clothes and the letter were run through the Cuttlebug with the dot folder.  Then I used Crystal Stickles and touched each dot with it.  The felt flowers are from Michael's dollar bin.

My new cricut

Happy Birthday to me!   Salim bought me a new Expression because my other one died and it came with 2 carts that I didn't have!  And yes it is yellow...but he got a good deal $198 at Walmart  :)    Thank you Salim you are the best!!!!  Love you!

Birthday sign

I whipped up this sign tonight for my friend's daughter whose birthday is the day after mine  :)  Hope she likes it!  I used Disney background paper (which now that it's done I think it's a little too busy), the font is the Cricut Classic Font - tall ball and the cupcake stamp is a Studio G dollar stamp colored in with chalks.

Gifts for friends 2008

This is a desk set I made for a friend at work for her birthday.  I bought the wire accessories at Dollar Tree.

This clip holds a photo when slipped between the metal clips.  Family saying is a rubber stamp.

Heart from George cart.

Here is a mini notepad that I cover with paper (don't remember the co.) the heart was cut from George and the Oprah saying is a stamp which I bought used as a UM self mounted so I don't know who makes it.

Anyone who knows me knows I'm a recycling/reusing nut!  :)    So this was once a Crystal Light/Wyler's container.  I covered the outside with silver paper, stamped the angel with white pigment ink then tore the image from the paper giving it the rough edge, I highlighted areas with stickles, adhered to the container and tied with a ribbon.  If I remember correctly I cut or tore a circle in the blue cardstock and glued to the top of the cover (to cover the logo) and stamped a snowflake with the same process.  The stamp is from a clear UM set,  I can look up the company if anyone wants to know.  I filled the container with candy.

Well that's it for tonight...I'm getting there slow but sure!

Paper Dolls 2008

Here's a set of paper dolls I made for Denzel.  They are laminated and have a layer of thin magnet on the back so he could dress them up on the fridge or a metal lunchbox that they were kept in.  I used the PDDU cart.

More scrapbook pages summer 2008

Denzel showing off his Power Ranger moves!  I used Street Sign cart for the lettering and Paper Doll Dress Up  for the lightning bolt.

The dino is from PDDU cart and the ROAR is from Animal Kingdom

This was Shianne's 1st day of 9th grade.  And she is holding a sign that reads "Shianne's first day of 9th grade" with the date.  I have been making her hold a sign on the first day of school since 2nd grade.  I love it and I love her for appeasing me!!  If you lift the top pic there's another pic underneath of her and Denzel.  I also love that she wore sweats and a tshirt on the first day and didn't care what anyone thought  :)   The Be yourself and the notepaper are from the Graphically Speaking cart.

Denzel in his Batman mask.  I used Graphically Speaking for the red circle and PDDU for the car.  Can't remember what carts I used for the lettering.

New design already

I just realized in the first post I said I didn't like the design of the page.  Well this is the new one that I like and will probably be keeping.  Well off to bed enough for one night I think...Niko is not feeling well and I'm sure he'll be up early!

Scrapbook pages

Me and Shianne.  She's holding a glow stick ball in front of her face.   I used the Graphically Speaking cart for the lettering and the arrow.
This is my Godson Denzel just being himself  :)   I think this one was mentioned in the Cricut Chirp.  I used the Graphically Speaking for the black letters and and the Disney Font for SILLY.

Denzel after a green popsicle!  GS for delicious and Doodlecharms for the popsicle (I think).

My first post :)

Well I'm not exactly thrilled with the design of the page so I will probably change it several times but I had such a problem getting the designs I really liked to load!!  Oh well.  I just spent an hour going through old pics looking for some crafts to post.  I definitely found some!  Since I'm new to the blogging thing I will try to post some now.  Everything I post tonight is 2008 (told you they were old!)

I made these for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and at the very bottom it says "In loving memory of Marilyn"    Marilyn was my best friend's mom who was much too young to leave us when she lost her battle with breast cancer.

I used the George Cricut cart for the heart.
